German teaching shaped by experience, structure, and clarity.
Hi, I’m Henry, the teacher behind Verluma.
I am a language teacher with a master’s degree in German and English linguistics, and I have been teaching German since I was 18. Over the years, I have worked with some of the leading German language schools and taught more than 10,000 classes to students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning goals.
My teaching experience includes private lessons, group courses of up to 15 students: with complete beginners, exam preparation, and long-term language coaching. I am also a certified examiner, which has given me a very clear understanding of what students need not only to “study German,” but to actually use it with confidence.
I have taught people from across the world with over 1,000 students, receiving more than 500 five-star reviews along the way.

If you are a complete beginner, start with A1.1. If you already know the basics of German, you can continue with A1.2, A2.1, or A2.2, depending on your current level.
A1.1 and A1.2 together cover the full A1 level. A2.1 and A2.2 together cover the full A2 level.
If you're unsure you can book a private class with me and we can set you in the correct course.
Each course includes around 10 hours of prerecorded video lessons, practical exercises, vocabulary lists, phrase collections, and printable PDF materials.
The materials are designed so you can study independently, repeat lessons whenever needed, and always know what to practise next.
The course is fully pre-recorded (no live sessions) and guided by a professional teacher.
Yes. The courses are prerecorded, so you can study whenever it fits your schedule. You can pause, repeat, rewatch, and go through the lessons at your own speed — German is much friendlier when you are allowed to press pause.
Once you purchase a course, you get access to the course materials and can return to them whenever you need to review. No time restrictions set.
The courses are built around the grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills needed at any given level. They can help you build a strong foundation for exams such as Goethe, telc, ÖSD, and similar certificates.
For focused exam preparation, especially speaking and writing, private lessons are recommended.
Yes. I offer private German lessons online via Zoom. Lessons are 55 minutes long and can focus on grammar, conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, exam preparation, homework support, or a personal learning plan.
Private lessons are available for all levels from A1 to C2 or exam preparation.
There is the possibility of lesson packages - I recommend you book a standalone lesson first though.
After booking, you will receive the lesson details and Zoom information. Before the lesson, you should write a short note about your current level, background, goals, and what you would like to practice (you will be prompted during the booking session).
This helps me prepare the lesson properly, so we do not spend the first ten minutes just politely staring at German grammar from a distance.
Yes. You can buy a 10-lesson package if you want regular support and a clear learning rhythm.
The classic 10-lesson package is for all students. There is also a special loyalty package for students who have already completed at least 25 lessons with me.
First book a single class and I will give you all information for lesson packages.
The online courses give you a structured path through a level with prerecorded lessons and exercises.
Private lessons are personal sessions with me: here we focus directly on your questions, speaking, mistakes, exam goals, or individual learning needs.
